Is there any easy method to understand Astronomy?Yes

Life is always about discovering new things and new topics. And humans within their time on Earth created vast amount of knowledge in various fields by new discoveries.
Astronomy is one such excellent discovery , so much excellent that every bit contains this infinite amount of excitement , which can make anyone a space enthusiastic if they get to know the right angle of astronomy .
Beyond the enormous scientific definitions and equations , astronomy  always have a simple way of explanation that every one can easily understand and share. You don't have to be a science person to actually know about astronomy . The language of astronomy is always natural like the life itself and it never fails to amaze us.
And it all started with looking up in the cosmos. Yes observations are the best tool for astronomy. Did you know that because of light pollution 10% of observable night sky is actually not clear to us? The photos of fantastic views of night sky that you might have seen is therefore not any artistic imagination , but the true beauty of universe itself.

Night Sky

Universe is very vast that even after years of Scientific observations and theories  we were not successful in giving an accurate coverage. Yet through observations we have unfolded some mysteries. To the sake of content , from where did this universe came from?Universe was created by a tremendous explosion called the Big Bang .You might know this. But there is a small correction. Universe indeed originated from Big bang, but big bang is actually an expansion rather than  a  big explosion. After the expansion , everything in this universe originated gradually through neat chemical processes. Scaling in astronomy is also very big than in real life to deal with enormous distances, there fore gradual origination and evolution of celestial bodies in astronomy takes billions even trillions of years.

Big Bang and Expansion

After big bang, there were only elementary particles .They are the most basic particles of Universe(they are not elements). In your classes you may  have studied about atoms. It contains a nucleus having protons and neutrons and this nucleus is surrounded by electrons. This is a basic model of an atom. Have you ever wondered what this protons ,neutrons and electrons are made up of? Elementary particles is the answer .There are three main elementary particles quarks, leptons and bosons . Elementary particles are not made up of any other components. The nature of elementary particles are quite complex , so we study them using quantum physics. Now you know the real components of an atom and why quantum physics is necessary in astronomy.
These elementary particles form together to form protons , electrons and neutrons  and they combine to form an atom and atoms gradually combine each other and after billions and trillions of years of evolution , every heavenly bodies and entities in Universe was formed. This possibly can be the most simple explanation for the origin of all complex structures in current universe.
As observations are the most basic tools needed for astronomy ,scientists created telescopes for better observation and to collect most precise data. Hubble Space telescope is one such great invention for better view and study of  universe.

Hubble Space Telescope

Through such observations we studied about our Solar system first. Solar system is literally like a cosmic family composed of eldest member and the primary source of energy , our sun and eight planets orbiting around sun and some of them even have satellites or moons. But Solar system also consists of asteroids(rock sized bodies) and dwarf planets.Indeed Solar system is very familiar. But Solar system is actually a part of even bigger family called Milky way and milky way is an example for a Galaxy.
Galaxies are huge structures consisting of trillions of stars, space dust, and gases. They are one of brightest objects in entire universe.

Milky way

The structure of milky way is such that  it consists of several  spiral arms . Our solar system is located in one such arms and if  our night sky is bright enough we can actually see a part of spiral arm (as in the first figure of night sky) with our naked eyes. And our galaxy is not the only galaxy in universe. There are groups of galaxies. Several groups are organized in to clusters of galaxies and  then several clusters into super clusters. So as I said it's massive.
Stars like our sun are formed in the gas and dust of such galaxies. Planets are also formed in such galaxies. Every galaxies do not have same structure like our's. There are circular galaxies and irregular galaxies also.

A photo from Hubble space telescope which shows
around 12000 star forming galaxies

Did you know that sun is only a middle size star? UY Scuti is the most biggest star we ever found in Universe. The following picture is an artistic imagination of sun near UY scuti. Can you imagine the location of planet Earth near this gigantic beauty? Well that much is enough to know our  place in this universe , isn't it?

Now we know the main points. But what if I say that even scientists only know around 5% of entire universe? To be honest it is a bit dull information , but on the bright side it indicates that we have so much surprises waiting to be discovered.
Astronomy , as I said , have a natural language for everyone who is seeking for it. Like the entire vastness of universe itself , astronomy is also a vast field. But a fact that each and every one of us are made up of literally nothing but star dust , only makes the connection between our self and the subject so strong that we gradually will  realize understanding astronomy is understanding the meaning of our life itself in a kind of natural and less complicated way.
